TURBULENCE ARTIFACTS ON HAND

WRECK ONE

DJ WRECK ONE HAS THESE TURBULENCE CLASSICS

ILL K ENTRY 78 "LUZON"

Luzon - Kamay Na Grasa (Produced by Chrizo)

My favorite track of all time from Turbulence Productions is from an artist outside my artist roster. We work with great talent, if its dope -- we on it. We are restless workers of the music, the business comes second. Anybody who knows our work ethic knows we've given our all in every venture -- money making or not cause we believe at the end of the day the music stays.

Juss Rye discovered him and we just eventually worked with him during his two trips to the Philippines. Real talk, this song has touched more Fil Ams and made more sense out of their lives as Fil Ams or immigrants. I remember sharing this with a good friend, Mr. Rey and we were planning to write a whole article about it -- but upon listening to his album, I deemed it wasn't right as he too already understood what this song was about and will be a branch for the message. Watch out for that!

Luzon - We Need Change (Produced by Traumatik)

There are a bunch of songs from Luzon that still hasn't seen the light of day. Will ask Juss Rye if he would allow us to release em, I know he recorded one with Uela, there is also a track that has him, Black, Hotnixx and God's Will all together produced by Traumatik. So yeah, we'll leak em when its time to do that, but for now enjoy these two songs.

JUNE MARIEEZY FEAT. RBTO - SOMETIMES

RBTO

June Marieezy feat. RBTO - Sometimes by Deeper Manila

June Marieezy appears in a cameo on the new LDP video, Here To Own It -- which will be out soon. Here's track of her up coming EP from Deeper Manila. Definitely something to watch out for, new Manila soul movement uprising. Catch the verse my RBTO on this song, mad nice, killing it. Looking to hear more Rob!!

I've been livin in this head splittin rythym
Been misled, fed and sickened with the meds and religon
Middle finger up fuck the system
Couldnt stomach their decision, outa luck, stuck and wishin
We landed on this earth for a mission
But we lurked in position, gettin worse in condition
Instead of makin' work, we've been pissin' on its worth
Gettin' lost in our perverse competition
But sometimes I find divine wisdom behind the blind instant
Defined in my intent,
I'm takin' my time to rhyme in sync
To my sublime instinct to find the fine imprint
Be kind and rewind the mind engine
Untie the binds clenching your shine to high-tension
Relax and recline to my sentence apply the dimensions
To guide your direction
My writtens refined in dissection
Provides a wide entrance to my supply segment
A simple design where you and I intertwine
Within a blink of an eye forever ours to reside

TURBULENCE CLASSICS ON YOUTUBE FOR SHARING

Turbulence catalog of classics will be available on YouTube soon.

It has become apparent to me and Chrizo that we can never really answer the question "So, where can we check you guys out?" -- we dont have a constant gig sched because we are in the studio most of the time; they won't remember it all the time when I give them the URL for this blog, nor my email nor will they really look for you on Facebook should you have an account. The language of interaction for information has lately been "Yeah, check us out on YouTube -- search for this and that".

So on that note, we are building our music portfolio, unearthing classics we had expected you to buy, but yeah you can still purchase the cds should you be really interested but at this point, we politely ask that you search "TURBULENCE PRODUCTIONS" and or your favorite artist from the label and share the music to all your friends online. We want the music to reach further than our cd sales, so expect more music to appear on YouTube from this point on.

THE COMMUNITY BLUES Entry 9 "EPIC BATTLEGROUND"

5STARS

Prolifik & A.N.E. - Epic Battleground

My good friends and colleagues from around the same time we were thriving to make a name, 5 Stars Productions boasts of crazy talent -- from then upcoming producer Jalil, UrbanP vets like Prolifik and on da lee low OPM HIPHOP FAN/ARTIST A.N.E., to the broader contributions of other heads from humble beginning with 898. Shoutouts to Lil Mack! These guys have been making music with us since back in the day. You can check Prolifik's verses in every compilation we've released as well as A.N.E. They later on transitioned from The Expansion Team to The Same Team -- a lot of changes, same quality music.

This group have been constantly in my radar for songs, projects and just continuously build with them through their changes. ANE and I have worked on a couple of more tracks unheard by many -- from Face To Pain to Mandirigima, Broken Glass and a couple more to record. I've also worked with Jalil on tracks like Tagumpay and the still unreleased Death March -- he has been constantly been making beats and we will debut some of the songs over the summer. Today I am letting go of one of my favorite tracks "EPIC BATTLEGROUND" -- if I'm not mistaken the beat is from a dude in Soundclick from back in the day, the feel and the usage of the William Wallace lines are craazzzy! And the switch up from english to tagalog is bananas.

They are also part of THE COMMUNITY ALBUM, which you can download HERE. Part Of Me, which was produced by super producer Juss Rye of SVC, Corporate Lo-Fi & Chillitees. They have been around for a minute, and I can hear a surge of new music coming from these guys very soon.

REST IN PEACE, NATE DOGG.

RIP

Nate Dogg feat. Daz - These Days

Rest in peace, Nate Dogg. I grew up listening to Death Row and their catalog and saw Nate Dogg as integral as a Dr. Dre beat for the west. Un-fucking-replaceable, his bluesy gospel voice is one of the baddest on this planet. And dont forget that he writes his own stuff, his best works are collaborations with other artist -- giving each song a commercial appeal while his solo efforts are underachievers.

Nate Dogg, Illegitimate King.

These days, you gotta be strapped
I already know that ain't nobody got my back
These days you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claiming Dogg Pound

I believe I got good skills
We been makin' music since we were kids
That's all I wanna do, for life
Keepin' it real until the day I die
Obstacles get in my way
Continue to mash and don't forget to pray
I keep my hand on my steel
Because I love my life and I always will
Whatever people say to me
I take it in stride I'm thinkin' negro please
If you really don't know me
Then you best back up, I suggest strongly
They started this DPG
Until the day I D-I-E
For my L-I-F and E
No matter where I look thats all I see
And I know...

These days, you gotta be strapped
I already know that ain't nobody got my back
These days you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claiming Dogg Pound

Many women cling to me
I think its because they see me on BET
Cuz everybody knows my name
All the police think I'm serving cane
Jealous niggaz call us out
But I dont worry long as I hear their mouths
If ever they decide to kill
You better be prepared because I know I will
One thing I can guarantee
You don't wanna be standin next to me
Before my final curtain call
I feel safe and it won't be long
So if we bump hits in the streets
Or even at some party
You niggaz really can't see me
My request is that you stop trying
Before I let go...

These days, you gotta be strapped
I already know that ain't nobody got my back
These days you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claiming Dogg Pound

Everyday, the 45 stays on deck for whoever
I bustin takin now bowin down never
Gotta watch my back for these coppers
As well as these niggaz that I kick it with
They stick you faster than these bitches will
Since I'm pimpin everybody wants my riches
And I can't keep the Don from buying weed actin everytime
I smoke constantly it comforts me
From commitin the murders so I chill and puff the herb
Who gots my back nobody
Little John Gotti's layin niggaz down at the homey's party
All be goin crazy I guess we are bein who we are
Really say the nigga gotta be a star
I gots to get mine and if I blast then its my destiny
If I die then it was meant to be intentionally
Worry stressin I'm guessin no confession
When the murder take place it was protection

THE COMMUNITY BLUES Entry 8 "SATISFYD"

BOOM

Kulay - Satisfyd (from 100,000 Pesos Worth of Karma)

Upper Suite - Satisfyd (from the Upper Suite unreleased album)

Boom Dayupay is one of the more influential people I look up to in my bid for building a label. His work transcends various boundaries that commercialism has boxed up what hiphop should be. His story for success is unheard of, since his days with Boom transitioning it to Kulay and building Vibestation-- housing acts like Syke, Artstrong, 7Shots and Legit Misfitz to even giving Candy a headstart into the business. These names remain etched into local pinoy hiphop history because of Boom's guidance. He also helped local talent through his Vibestation TV and Vibestation Radio, and was one of the first artists who had a merchandising store for his product. I haven't even started on his innovation in the music video scene.

I think one of the most monumental albums in OPM history is Kulay's 100,000 Pesos Worth of Karma. It's up there with Gary V albums, APO albums, Juan Dela Cruz albums, Eraserheads albums, Francis Magalona's even. That album is timeless and shares more that music. It's the spirit of the future. One of the best written songs from this side of the world came from this album "Satisfyd" -- too honest of a song to be released then, it received a new arrangement from one of Boom's project releases, Upper Suite, vocals by Artstrong and Candy Cousart.

Upper Suite, if it was ever released then would be the first album that would have lounge, spoken word, R&B, hiphop fused into one CD. It never saw the light of day and dont ask me why I have an unmixed, unreleased copy of it. I just do my iggins.

I plead that when artists who are signed to labels want to re-work a song, revive an old song -- that they look into this song. It has mad potential and has a rich history already. I dont care if you gotta pay publishing to whoever owns it, its worth it. Boom Dayupay was there during the first year of The Community shows, filming away -- documenting what we going on that year. I remember them showing up and shooting the countless cyphers at the parking lot.

What is Boom up to these days? I can't tell you yet.

THE COMMUNITY BLUES Entry 7 "BOMB AZZ PLAYAZ"

NORTH AVE

Bomb Azz Playaz feat. Playa P - Tru Playa

Back in 99, an independent label released Bomb Azz, Foe Tha Love Of It Vol.1 -- a compilation CD that housed underground acts from all over the metro. Today I'm letting go of the posse track from the album which featured Rapskallion original members - Krazykyle, Jeff Demarco and Proof Positive; G Money from Holla Fame; C-Poetic and Mary of Cyphasis; Trife 1 better known as J.O.L.O. from Flip Joint; Kristyles and Playa P of Grounded now known as Pasta Groove. I might be missing on some names, these are just names off the top of my head.

I bought a cd of this release and asked Krazykyle to sign it when I saw him at a show at Super-O back in the day. After the posse track, dont press stop yet as there is an unreleased track, bonus if you may -- of Rapskallion singing they verses. This was very integral for me to understand that hiphop is about pushing the boundaries and still have fun with it. And yes, Krazykyle was dope before all this Piling Sikat shit -- he was sparring his rhymes with Jeff Demarco and Proof, so no doubt his old tracks are way better.

Q-YORK "CHAMPION"

Q-York - Champion (Produced by Flavamatikz)

Awesome video by some awesome people. After releasing a free download yesterday - Team Qyork turns it up a few notches higher by dropping their new video "Champion" today! The song has been playing on WAVE 89.1 and getting some pretty good reviews. We hope to see this song up on MYX very soon! Qyork's new album entitled "Q-YORK CITY" drops very soon as I heard they have found a home where to release this opus. Congratulations to KL and Flava! The new cd will have tracks that'll feature Chelo Aestrid, AMP, Nimbusine, PKSO, Jay-R, Jazze Manuel just to name a few.

And rumor has it that a rapper named Gloc 9 has recorded a verse for the remix of this same track. That should be an exciting song to watch out for in that album! Knowa Lazarus is also finishing up a collaboration album with one artist from Turbulence -- we won't disclose any information but that for the meantime.

Congratulations to everyone who worked on this video!

THE COMMUNITY BLUES Entry 5 "CATCH ME"

MIKE SWIFT

Mike Swift - Catch Me (Produced by Raimund Marasigan)

We've seen it all and will about to see more. Konektado will be releasing their 3rd DVD Magazine tomorrow, March 6 at Patio Jose in East Avenue Quezon City. Mike Swift is one of the Philippines best entertainer. People miss out on his lyrical contents due to his antics on stage. I remember that night when he performed for The Community show, spot light at the bar -- he is standing on stop of the bar. White vest, saxophone blowing -- missed the last note of the national anthem with white gloves on. Hahahaha.

As we release The Community album for free in a few hours, I am giving you the rockstar legend Raimund Marasigan (Squid 9, Sandwich, Eraserheads) assisted track "Catch Me" -- Mike picked his beat via the beat raffle. A song about, being ready all the time to rock a crowd -- could you contest a Mike Swift lesson recorded almost 5 years ago and still being uplifted in every performance he has?

THE COMMUNITY BLUES Entry 3 "K24/7"

K24/7

K 24/7 - Dry Your Eyes

This amazing band has been going through changes since its inception. They have gone through line up changes since I heard them play. They were at a time the premiere hiphop R&B band in the country -- amidst people going the whole acoustic phase, they kept true to their strength and garnered a following like no other. There was a debut album recorded a couple of years back, but it never got off the ground as expected. They recently released their 2nd album titled "New Era" -- I've yet to pick it up, if anyone has heard it, let me know how it is.

I am letting go of a single they released around 2006 - 2007, this song got played heavy at Wave 89.1 and the now defunct Blazin 105.9. "Dry Your Eyes" is definitely one of their best compositions to date.
