Loonie feat Quest - Tao Lang (Produced by Klumcee)
Thank you for waiting, now I give you - Tao Lang by Loonie featuring Quest. I remember hearing this song for the first time last year at Loonie's spot. He sang me the hook, and it was his exact sentiments at that time. People were grilling him about not participating in Fliptop friends and fans alike. He just had a change of lifestyle the past few years - from being relatively known, to be being crowned underground king to being harassed and put in a pedestal by fans. From making new friends, losing close ones - and seeing people burn out before him, it really took a toll on him. He played it for me, and while I thought you can already sum up things using the hook - he managed to squeezed in a couple of quotables.
Tao Lang is produced by Klumcee, one of the most slept on producers of our time. Was recorded at the FlipMusic Studio and was mixed and mastered by non other than Bojam himself.
I will also rightfully divulge to my readers now that Sony Music Philippines is closing business this month. Loonie's recording contract is being debated on and being negotiated. Releasing this song is to showcase our confidence in our products and to save the fans the hassle of waiting, as negotiations occur.

Natutukso, nakukonsensya, nauubusan din ng pasensya Nasasaktan, nagmumura pero nagmamahal pa rin kahit natuto na

Last January 21, Loonie granted a cancer patients wish of meeting him. Its not often we hear the change we can make on peoples life through our presence, so whenever we have the chance to - we take advantage of being the mediums of love and life that we truly are. It's in my personal interest with my readers, that I share this with you. Thank you to Wipcaps and Urban Athletics for making our visit to him extra memorable - and for showing great heart in the community.
A good blogger friend of mine - documented the event. Read more through her blog, Lippiestick - here. Good job here! Keep documenting things like this!
To Jon-Jon, its nice to know that we've bridged a gap in your life and that we will do our best to be better role models to people who fight cancer daily.

D.I.R.B. like how Jolo's been doing since he came in bursting into the scene via his Flipjoint crew. The beat is your friday night just got paid I'm a blow it, accompanied by Jolo's more than meets the eye rhyme patterns - flawlessly creates the space to let kids know he is in his own lane. Props to team Hi Fan - for finally pushing the kid to hit the booth and cook up a soon to be classic release.

DRP album, executively produced by Manny Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao gets his hands on a fresh act, DRP (Dirty Room Productions) - and the group will ride it out! Releasing their debut album in the next few weeks, with a ringabck business on the way, DRP are poised to show you a different side of Pinoy Hiphop. I was given the chance to hear the album a few weeks before its release and all I can say is that even with its technical flaws, it has managed to showcase the fun side of hiphop and fuse pop tunes, fun lyrics and R&B vocals into a well rounded album for everyone to enjoy!
Relatively unknown act within the scene, DRP is the winner of the MTV Emerge contest a few years back. With the addition of Gods Will to the fold, DRP - has been doing what its been doing for so long, make music to the best of their talents and get noticed by the right people. Early last year, Pino G and Gods Will released "Pinoy Hollywood" and had a single on the radio via Wave 89.1 - this early they were able to determine the winning mix to get DRP as the group to promote.
DRP's video is directed by Nino Muhlach with other suprise cameos.
The only flaw of the album is the kicks. Personally there are songs where I wanted to hear bigger drums other than that - the album is well produced. Most of the tracks are produced by Pino G. The songs are well introduced and the delivery is filled with confidence showing how experienced these mcs are in recording. Songs like "Eba" - an ode to sinister ladies, "Telepono", "Extravaganza", the Manny Pacquiao anthem "Saludo Sa Hari", the patriotic "Ipaglalaban Ko" - which showcases heartfelt lyrics from the team, are runaway winners for best songs of the album.
I advise you to pick up this album and see the growth of these grown men. You will like most of the tracks, the verses are very candid but the hooks are on point. I caught their performance at BSides and they rock complete with dancers to enunciate their songs into the audience and bring life to the game. It also helps that they aren't heavily affiliated with your more known hiphop acts, makes you look at them as one of the freshest acts of the year - dont just look at them as Manny's newest venture, look at them as the artists that they are individually and collectively.
You can pre-order their album through their Facebook account.
Approximately a year ago, I featured this song and put RBTO's verse on here - and well - Junemariezy has been a household name in the scene. She graced us with a cameo on the Dominic Nuesa x LDP video "Here To Own It" and closed the year with a great song and performance of "Catch You" with Rjay Ty. Unfortunately, she is now based in Dallas, TX. She had her reasons to move, but with the release of this video just a few days ago - there has been a shout for her to come back. Part of Deeper Manila's artist roster, we are expecting more unreleased songs from her to be dropping throughout the year as she makes her way back to the loving scene that nurtured her.
This must be the best track from his new CD, might give one away soon.
[Verse 1] We were from different cities on the same block Grew up in different circles in the same spot Like raindrops we fall in love giving our all Showing her ring off like a player at the ball I recall the walls that I had up Attracted to women for things that didn’t matter Ka-clow boom pop! Sound of my heart when it drop The night that I met her, it might be forever I hear people saying that they like us together I ain’t afraid to gamble when life is getting better With you, I admit I had issues Like ebony, your essence, your pedigree, your presence It’s more than clothes can say for you When I shop I gotta spend more than a day for you I pray for you and us, that we imbue through lust And accrue the trust, let’s shake off the dust from the cloth
[Hook] Oh you’re worried about when people stop and stare That’s just a tear on those beautiful clothes you wear Cut from the same, cloth you just want to wear But that’s just a tear because girl I can get you fresh La la la la, la la la la
[Verse 2] This is tailor-made love, fit like a snug Anything we can bear so let’s have some cubs You were there when my cuz passed away Not only does love, but life hatches day I appreciate the hugs and the days I breed with you Strong seeds I can see with you, the good word I read with you Looking at things that we’ve been through Things that seem simple I know when to go hard and when to be gentle Sentimental laughs and expressions Let’s stay in the present, no time for second guessing You said it’s this cloth that makes you feel naked The truth we address it, that’s so unexpected Yeah that’s the thread that helps us move ahead Your hunger for affection will always be fed Thank God we never sped and let love take it’s course Because what’s inside of us, no need to outsource The cloth
[Verse 3] Hey lover we can cover each other Through the coldest nights, tight never smother It’s two things that seems to hold us together God is our tailor and forever It’s two things that seems to hold us together God is our tailor and forever It’s two things that seems to hold us together God is our tailor and forever It’s the cloth
