If you are in tune to my blog, you would've already seen this product featured a few times already. Two weeks ago, I finally received my Timbre Gitara Heaphones to use and review. First off, I still think owner and CEO Paul Diaz is crazy for doing hardware in a time that everyone stuck with creating their shirtlines -- kudos to your craziness! It legitimizes your brilliance and hard work!
I've seen Timbre create buzz around the metro, penetrating bazaars, college shows, exhibits, radio stations, the rock circuit and the hiphop scene, to celebrity influenced Tweets! Paul Diaz has been working his ass off and making sure the brand manages all the expectations brought about by a simple idea, painting the color of music in other words Visual Audio.
Timber, pronounced as Tam-Ber - is 100% Filipino owned.

The packaging - is legit, I opened my mail and looked through it, perfect branding components, with information on each side and the logo smack right in the middle. Design - how can you go wrong when you decide to have legendary graphics company Team Manila design your first headphones? Highly inspired by the local Gitara, it shows the iconic wheel that we usually find around the middle of an acoustic guitar. It has a matte finish - which has not been commercially done by any brand to this point with success! Great job on this! It also folds up similar to your Beats by Dre Studio headphones and has a non-tangling flat nylon cord - which if you are a headphones fiend like I am is a dream come true!
Sound quality, its perfect for your listening pleasure and quite frankly thats what this hardware was made for. It is not built for sound engineers nor to match your $400 pairs. This is perfect for your personal use.

However, there are certain flaws that I would love to see improved on. First off, the size on the headphones muffs. I think it would be better if it was a bit bigger - locking your entire ear comfortably. Next, more bass into the technology it currently has, I love bass and as a producer - even to listen to something I'd love to feel that extra umph to appreciate music better and lastly, it would be great to come up with a casing for this foldable piece of hardware. I wouldn't mind paying extra if I can get something to pack it in to with the rest of my things.

Over all, this piece of history is worth having - rumor is, there is another colorway similar to the national flag about to be dispatched to the consumer, hehehe. Team Manila collaborating with Timbre Headphones for its first product line is definitely something to check out for. With sales reaching Australia and New York without heavy marketing - Timbre has really stepped into the forefront of Philippine ingenuinety and is breaking barriers in relevance.

Support your local talent, the way Timbre does - the brand is scene continuosly across the metro gaing its relevance through supporting local music, which is also embedded in the design. I can already see DJ's wearing it to gigs, radio jocks sporting it - the power of influence is within us, and only time will tell how influential Timbre is going to be to the consumer.

SONY XPERIA x SLEEPY JACK Review
Sleepy Jack game on Sony Xperia, download the game!
Two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to play some games with the Xperia Play of Sony Ericsson. One game in particular caught my eye and that was “Sleepy Jack”. The game is about Jack dreaming of a collection of toys that comes to life.

Gameplay:
There are 3 levels of difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard. I initially tested out the easy level and gradually moved to trying normal and hard. The objective of the game is quite easy, which is to get as many “Z’s” while avoiding obstacles that decreases Jacks energy level. For every night there is a different dream where you can see different toys as well as different challenges in getting the “Z’s”. There are a total of 40 levels. The game is kept this way because you’ll never know what kind of toy/s might turn out next. My favorite toy would be the item Barrel that has wings, should Jack be able to get this toy he will have a Wheel Gun.
The game is easy to follow since there are instructions at the beginning of every dream and there are pointers that would pop out that would help with the obstacles.
At the end of every dream, it tally's how many “Z’s” you’ve caught which will the game will rate versus the time allotted whether Jack had a bad, good or perfect night’s sleep.

The visuals of this game are undeniably fantastic! For every theme, the colors are so rich and vibrant which makes the characters clear and distinguishable. It’ll definitely keep you hooked in every level.
However, there is one particular flaw with the graphics once you reach the level with Laser Guns the motion becomes slower. This somehow disrupts your adrenaline while playing.
Apart from the graphics, another important factor is the sound. The sound makes it more exciting. Imagine watching a horror film that doesn’t have sound. It wouldn’t be so scary right? This area can be improved further especially when Jack gets the Z’s or bonus items as an example.
