FORGET ABOUT IT (ReSPECKS Video)
GRAE season officially begins August. Eyeing for a November 2010 release, we not give you our celebratory welcome to Mastaplann's reunion concert this month via these releases we are doing this month. Forget About It has over 1,000 downloads since its release -- showing Mastaplann followers are in tune to their new work regardless who they blessing the track with. Edited by Chano and some parts filmed in L.A., here's an excerpt of the story behind making this video via Marquiss.
The idea to shoot a video for “Forget About It” came from Mark Bandigan. This was almost three years ago. That’s how old this track actually is. I thought that was a great idea but, naturally, we didn’t think about it too much. Geographical locations obviously posed a problem for us.
Fast forward to late 2009.
Mark B was scheduled to fly to LA. As part of his itinerary, he was going to meet up with Mastaplann for a write up for Ms. Clavel Sneaker Magazine. Upon arriving in LA, he asked me to send him a mastered copy of Forget About It. Thankfully, I had a pre-mastered copy of G.R.A.E.., so I shot him the track via email. He told me of his intention to shoot Mastaplann’s scene in the track while he was out in L.A.
A week or two after that, I woke up to a text message from Mark B, who had just flown back in to Manila.
“You guys owe me beer.”
