J.Cole feat. Aaliyah - Best Friend
One of the most awaited releases this year was J.Cole's debut album -- still untitled under Rocnation. And while each album deserved its own set backs - J.Cole's debut wasn't exempted even with his extra ordinary co-sign under Hova. His album has been pushed to an early 2011 release and as time would have it, even J.Cole has gotten the itch to put music out.
Releasing the promised mixtape, Friday Night Lights - as answer to the demand of the people for music. Just a quick background - J.Cole initially wanted to be a pro ball player but due to chances missed and well fate had it otherwise, which explains the depiction of basketball relationships on his last few releases from title "The Warm Up", "Friday Night Lights" and cover art.
Here is a song entitled "BEST FRIEND" which borrows Aaliyah's vocals -- genius record really. Drake used Aaliyah's vocals on his song Unforgettable with Young Jeezy and now this J.Cole song shows the influence of Aaliyah in both future superstars, rest in peace.
